From August 24 to 26, the first Clouxter Summit 2021: Cloud-Powered Transformation, the technological event of the year in Colombia that will bring together international speakers who will talk about the importance of its adoption and effective use, as a key tool for the development and competitiveness of companies.

Cloud computing as a transformation generator

With the occurrence of the largest recession in 80 years according to the World Bank – global GDP fell -3.59 percent in 2020 -, and it is the responsibility of the public and private sectors to contribute to the general recovery and the economy, reaching the indicators that allow it.

This is a possible imperative to comply with the use, among other tools, of cloud computing, one of the fastest-growing Industry 4.0 technologies today.

International thermometers have revealed that amid the health crisis, entrepreneurs are adopting this technology at an accelerated rate, which represents taking firm steps to transform their businesses and the economy in general.

According to Canalys, a leading international technology market analysis consultancy, corporate investment in the cloud amounted to $41.8 trillion globally in the first quarter of 2021.

More evidence about its relevance in corporate development is presented by Harvard Business Review Analytical Services. A recent specialized survey revealed that 83 percent of executives “agree that the cloud is very or extremely important to the strategy and growth of their organizations.”

In practical terms, the study shows that 31 percent of these entrepreneurs said they are increasing investment in various cloud-related areas and 26 percent are focusing corporate efforts on both new and different use cases for the cloud.

In Colombia, this dynamic is key because it is the fourth economy in Latin America and the Caribbean and because in 2020 it registered one of the three recessions in its history. With this background, reactivation is achieved with the active participation of the transformed public and private sectors, which is possible with the use of cloud computing.

From this environment, knowing in detail the operation and scope of this and its practical application in topics such as; Migration, DevOps, Analytics, Security, Remote Work, Serverless, and IoT, is a global challenge at all levels; managing appropriate these practices in a generalized way, responding to the challenges and requirements of current reality.

In this sense, Clouxter Summit 2021: Cloud Driven Transformation will be held, the most comprehensive technology event of the year in the country and subcontinent. This is the first edition of the event that seeks to become the region’s meeting point in the field of emerging technologies, focused on essential solutions on the path of adoption and consolidation of the use of the cloud for the different moments of maturity of the organizations.
