Get greater security, reliability and cost reduction of your applications in record time

To achieve greater security, reliability, and cost reduction in your platform and infrastructure, the first effective approach is to implement the AWS Cloud Well-Architected Review.

A success story about this implementation was carried out with the client “Voice123”, a company founded in 2003 by Alex Torrenegra and Tania Zapata. This company is called the first and largest voiceover market globally. They currently have 250 thousands registered speakers to connect with interested clients and generate approximately twenty million transactions monthly.

The migration of “Voice123” data to the cloud has been a fact since 2010 and the main incentive according to Germán González, Tech Lead, of the company, was “…wanting to know what we did not know”, so that we could see what points we did not know. were being taken into account, in addition to being able to measure the exercise of the entire team in results.

A good cloud architecture falls precisely on being able to be aware of all the opportunities for improvement that optimize your business once implemented. This optimization falls on 5 fundamental pillars:

  • Operational Excellence
  • Security
  • Reliability
  • Performance
  • Cost Optimization

“In system design you focus on making the load support work, but you leave security and reliability issues behind” Germán González, Tech Lead at Voice123.

Although for Voice123 the challenges were in terms of reliability and security, implementing Well-Architected Review allowed them to reduce costs by 25%. The review showed a 45.7% opportunity for improvement, detailed in 21 activities to be executed for optimization. The costs reflected 6 issues to improve, all of which were executed and the improvement was 100%. Another successful item was reliability. Key point for the company which was optimized by 99.95% in the systems.

According to Germán González, he defines a Well-Architected Review as an effective plan for recovery in the event of catastrophes, that is, a tool that generates peace of mind in the event of risky situations.

Clouxter’s solution allowed Voice123 to learn more about its workloads, extract more data, and improve the alerting and monitoring system. Finally, it allowed them to make better negotiation projections on cost issues.
